Mark Nettesheim is the founder and creative influence behind Classic Kitchens & Designs, Inc.
Mark grew up in southeastern Wisconsin admiring the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe. With many of their works just an hour and a half south in Chicago, Mark frequented the area from an early age trying to understand why he was so drawn to both of these icons in the world of architecture and design. That curiosity and exposure influenced him to always want to make the things around him better. With this influence and his interest in construction and creating things with his hands, he found the home remodeling industry and specifically the kitchen and bath design field to be a love and forte he would spend the next 35 years perfecting… making things better!
Mark studied Architecture, then Engineering, and then Business Administration. He received a BA degree majoring in marketing with a minor in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Mark moved to California in 1989 married and raised his family on the Monterey Peninsula.
Starting his business, Classic Kitchens and Designs, Inc. 27 years ago in 1996, Mark has more than 38 years in the interior architecture and remodeling industry. Mark has had the pleasure of working on large and small scale projects across the country. He has worked with highly esteemed architects, designers and construction companies creating successful collaborations and relationships. He has the natural ability to make a space timelessly elegant, while understanding the needs and desires of his clients. He always makes the spaces around his creations better.
Susanna Spence
Designer | Drafter | Order Technician
Susanna joins the CKD team with 13 years of experience in the industry. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from California State University, Chico. She has a great eye for design and composition from her schooling as well as experience in custom kitchens. Susanna is tasked with design, creating AutoCAD drawings, pricing, and ordering.
